TBT: Untitled by photographer Tricia Kessler

Bucks County native Tricia Kessler has been the Designer-In-Chief at Kessler Digital Design for over a decade. She was encouraged by friends and family at a very early age to pursue art and design, so she majored in graphic design in college at Bob Jones University.

Growing up in a family with a medical transcription business, she was able to see the inner workings of what it was like to run a business, so it came very natural to her. She started working as a freelance designer and started Kessler Digital Design in 2001. Clients currently include the National Coalition of 7-Eleven Franchisees, the Produce Marketing Association, Delaware Valley University, and Cairn University.

When asked about the unique subject of her photography Tricia replied "I had the idea of using circular themed images to show growth from a central point that expanded outward. I thought it would be cool to show a big, meaty image of a cross section of a tree, and then I thought it would be a piece of cake to find the right stock image for the job. Well…I searched high and low for the right image, but I could not find a single one that was worthy to be a cover image.

From that time on, I thought in my head, if only I could go and search for the kind of cool tree sections that I know are out there, other people would also be able to see their beauty.

As a creative person, my mind is always thinking of new things to see and do. I just couldn't get this idea out of my head. So, wherever I went, I would always keep my eye out for some good ringed wood. I even have friends who send me "Tree Ring Alerts" when they find some nice, chunky pieces of wood.

And, the more that I discover and capture, the more I appreciate their uniqueness."

She also enjoys oil painting and photography. Bucks County, PA has been her home for most of her life, and she enjoys traveling with friends to Europe and other beautiful places in the U.S.

She has been passionate about mentoring teens and young adults at Grace Point to help them find their strengths and talents too.

Tricia's original work can be seen at our 2 South State Street gallery.
